VET CATEGORIES COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

It was a Christmassy crowd that gathered outside St Peter’s Catholic Club in Clitheroe to race the ‘last ever’ Turkey Trot 5 Mile. A jail-full of cops and robbers complete with police car, a workshop of elves, Home Alone’s Marv and Harry, a winged angel, many many Santas and even eight maids a milking plus cow could be seen on this bright morning. The ‘Elf and Safety’ was patrolling and witnessed several tumbles down the immensely slippy grass slope but on the whole, it was an enjoyable, ankle-twisting final race for Burnden Road Runners’ Club Championship.
