A mixture of great races and individual achievements this week. This started with a mid-week race in Rossendale on Wednesday 19th August at a race called Pilgrims Cross. Not many races this week, however the races completed have been full of joy and lots of brilliant Burnden effort. On Tuesday 11th August, Burnden Runners took part in Ramsbottom Summer Mile. This was a brilliant, energetic well organised event by Ramsbottom Running Club in which runners and supporters were encouraged. Both nerves and personal bests were in full force. On Saturday 1st August, Kirsty and Lee White took part in the Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra on Saturday. This is a race, where runners complete a 4.167 mile loop on the hour, every hour, until only one person is left standing. Lee completed 7 loops (29.2 miles) and Kirsty managed 9 loops (37.5 miles).
