Welfare at Burnden

Our Welfare Officer and Support

Burnden Road Runners is an extremely warm and welcoming club, and supporting one another is a big part of who we are. Alongside this, we also have a dedicated Welfare Officer, Tasha Clarke.

Tasha is DBS checked, has completed Safeguarding in Athletics Adult Welfare training, and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

You’ll often see Tasha at Burnden training nights on Mondays and at One Foot on the Track sessions on Wednesdays. She also takes part in Club Championship races, so she’s regularly around at weekend events too.

If you ever need someone to talk to, Tasha offers a friendly, confidential listening ear and can signpost members to helpful support resources.

She also often leads our Monday Wellbeing Walk — a relaxed walk-and-talk session, which follows the pace groups route.

If you have a welfare concern you’d like to discuss, you can speak to Tasha at any of our sessions or email welfare@burndenroadrunners.co.uk. All conversations are treated in confidence.
