Volunteers
Burnden Road Runners are always in need of volunteers for our events and also support other events in the community, below you will find details on all the volunteering opportunities in the coming year.
The race director team are beginning to look towards 2025 race calendar and the planning of how the club can support local community events along side our annual Trotters race.
With that in mind, we are looking for volunteers to help with the events below.

We need around 20 volunteers to ensure the course is safe for runners and cyclist alike. I know that we have asked for your help a number of times over the past couple of months but it would be amazing if you could spare a little time to support us with this.
Details of the event are:
Date: Saturday 24 May 2025
Time: Marshal meeting: 8:00 (final time tbc)
Race starts: 9:00
Race ends: 12:00 (approx)
Venue: Rivington Primary School
There will be refreshments available at race HQ, all marshals usually get a free hot sandwich and drink.


2026 event info added later this year

Course set up Course set up leader + 5 additional volunteers( this is an early start, but volunteers will be able to run.

Car Park 2 marshals

Registration 4 volunteers ( registration closes 10/15 minutes before the start so you will still be able to enter the race)

Marshall points 28 - this allows us to have two marshals per marshal point.
