Run Media City Half Marathon, organised by Run Through, is a closed-roads event featuring two scenic laps around Salford and Eccles – starting and finishing at Media City. Two of Burnden’s finest smashed personal records on the course. First in was Francesca Caine who set a new half marathon PB in a speedy time of 1:33:36. Andy and Rachel Norman laced up their trainers and headed to Yorkshire for a soggy and muddy challenge by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Always a popular choice for runners of all abilities, Grim up North events offer a variety of distances as well as scenic routes and a medal on completion.
