FAB FIVE AT FESTIVE FESTIVAL

ree

As Christmas inches closer, there was another themed run full of festive fun. Five Burndeners competed in the Big Xmas Trail Festival, which offers a variety of distances.

Set in the suburbs and green spaces of Greater Manchester, each muddy and challenging race starts and finishes at Sale Water Park and takes in Chorlton Water Park and the River Mersey. The marathon distance follows the Trans Pennine Trail all the way to Little Bollington – returning on the Bridgewater Canal.

Kimberley Lowe took on the half marathon distance – completing in 2:05:23.

The full marathoners were led home by Ravi Patel in 3:48:11 followed by Andy Norman in 3:51:00, Sarah Woodiwiss in 4:57:38 and first timer Tony Woodiwiss in 5:35:31.
