Run Media City Half Marathon, organised by Run Through, is a closed-roads event featuring two scenic laps around Salford and Eccles – starting and finishing at Media City.
Two of Burnden’s finest smashed personal records on the course. First in was Francesca Caine who set a new half marathon PB in a speedy time of 1:33:36. Training for Manchester Marathon in April, Rob Moran-Hetherington showed he was on fine form as he achieved a sub 2 hour in 1:59:33.
TROTTERS EDGES CLOSER

The Trotters 5 Trail Race is on Sunday 15th March and our lovely team of marshals had a weekend stroll to recce the route.
Named in honour of Burnden’s BWFC links, the Trotters is Burnden’s own Club race and forms part of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix where local clubs all put on a race and runners aim to complete all bar one to win a trophy.
Being Smithills based, Burnden’s race will take on the beautiful woodland trails and open paths around Smithills Hall and Farm. Challenging yet exhilarating, it’s one to tick off your bucket list. Book on Burnden’s website at www.burndenroadrunners.co.uk
