Sunday is a lovely day to get some miles in and Run Leader Michael Kermode took runners out on a great route this weekend.
Here is Michael’s report on this week’s run – to find out more about Burnden’s training and social runs, visit www.burndenroadrunners.co.uk.
“On Sunday 15th September a group of runners met up and went on a 10 mile run starting from Leverhulme Park to Elton Reservoir.
The group of runners that did turn up were all for different reasons which were:
• Trying to build up a level of fitness after recovering from an injury.
• Training specific towards an important race such as a Half Marathon & Marathon.
• For the pleasure to help improve mental health & wellbeing.
As all the runners were all of a mixed ability along the route the run leaders created muster points so that the front runners were able to gain extra mileage.
Despite the weather conditions being wet that did not stop everybody enjoying themselves.”
