Race Report 18th April 2026

A busy week for marathons, triathlons, ultras, a 10 miler, a 10k, A Fell Race and parkrun home and away this week. Burnden have shown no signs of wavering when it comes to putting their best feet forward.

LSD (Last Standing Distance) Ultra Back Yard, Northumberland. 11th April 2026.

Cheryl and Andy Dunleavy ventured to picturesque Morpeth in which they both challenged themselves. Cheryl did 4 loops in 4 tutu’s (16 + miles) and Andy did 7 loops (28+ miles), this was to best his marathon distance and to complete an ultra.

Andy and Rachel had a little rendezvous with friends for a special birthday and managed to throw in a bit of running too. Andy’s time with Marathon was 03:27:09 and Rachel’s half marathon time was 02:00:30.

Fell Race Wednesday 15th April

Jocelyn Chadderton and Kath Baron stumbled along the Ostwaldtwistle moors fell race on Weds eve and got a delight at the end of a 1000ft climb with amazing views. They did this in around 1hour 20 minutes.
