BURNDEN TRIER

The West Lancashire Triathlon has its HQ at Edge Hill University and is one of the most highly rated events for first timers in the North West.

The 400m swim takes place in their indoor pool, the 18.5k cycle is a flat, 3 lap course and the 5k run takes in the trails around campus before finishing on the running track.

With the Bolton 10K race held on the same day this year, it was just the one Burndener who flew the flag for the Burnden Tri Team.

Simon Entwistle is fast becoming a regular trier and smashed West Lancs 2025 in a total time of 1:31:46 including transition times. His times for the three disciplines were 10:03 in the pool, 47:18 on the bike and 24:18 for the run.
