Not many races this week, however the races completed have been full of joy and lots of brilliant Burnden effort.

On Tuesday 11th August, Burnden Runners took part in Ramsbottom Summer Mile. This was a brilliant, energetic well organised event by Ramsbottom Running Club in which runners and supporters were encouraged. Both nerves and personal bests were in full force. On Saturday 15th August, moving from a local run to a coastal one, three of our burnden runners ran Run The Lights 10k at Blackpool, a colourful and enjoyable event, enjoyed by the trio of runners. The Burnden Road Runners raking part were Aimee Sharples 29mins 10secs, Jordan Hulme 1:02:30, a time thst was his 2nd best time at this race, Jeanette Robinson 1:14:55. This was Jeanette’s first time of running it and agreed with others that they loved the atmosphere!

On Sunday 16th August, Burnden Road Runners were out in force again in Rochdale at another local event called Piethorne 10k. This is stated to be an enjoyable event, albeit challenging in parts.
