The Lanzarote Marathon takes place on Saturday 7th December.

You have a choice of a fun run 5k on the Friday night, or the main event on the Saturday with options  of a marathon, half marathon or 10k.

Last year we booked our travel separately we all attempted to stay in the same hotels, plans were scuppered slightly due to flight changes by Ryan Air. Please find below some information to give you a rough idea of hotels and flights.

All the races start at different towns, however all finish at Costa Teguise which is also the location of the main event hotel and registration. Coaches booked via the event organiser gets you to your starting point, 10k in Arecife and the half in Puerto del carmen.

Flights out

Based on a Thursday/Friday to Monday/Tuesday ( you need to attend registration on the Friday)

Ryanair fly out Thursday 08:00 or Friday 14:25 

Jet 2 fly out Thursday 08:35 or Friday 10:15

Flights back home

Ryanair fly back Monday 07:45 ( spoils your Sunday night due to early flight) or Tuesday 11:55

Jet 2 fly back Monday 15:45 or Tuesday 15:25

Hotels

The main hotel in 2023 was Sands Beach Resort ( organisers of the event), however lots of hotels within 5 minute walk, majority in 2023 stayed at the HD resorts next door.

Some tips from 2023

Ryanair when we booked early cancelled our early morning flight out for a later afternoon flight, however this year they only have the late afternoon option.

Flight prices suddenly dropped mid November, if you want to risk it may be worth waiting until then to book your flights.
