Just four weeks after her first 30 minute challenge, in her second attempt, Jenni Partington again took to the streets, this time achieving a new person best of 5,710 metres which is a whopping 550 metre improvement and earned her a second place in her W40 category.
So Jenni if you could pass on your personal training plan, I for one would be most interested! The two other Burnden ladies who took part this week were Cheryl Dunleavy (3,440) and Gwen Kinloch (6,453). Gwen again, for the 4th week on the trot, also took the second place in her W60 group. For the men Andy Dunleavy (M60 – 7,020 metres) and Paul Christie (M65 – 6,230) both finished as runner-up in their respective categories. Tony Wall with a run of 7,120 metres again finished 1st in his M60 classification, as he had in the previous 5 weeks. Ged Turner (5166) and Andy Warburton (4,667) completed the male quintet and took the men’s total distance covered to just over 30 kilometres. For the third week in a row Burnden finished in 4th place in the team category.
First of all this week I would like to issue an apology to new member Louise Righini who ran on the weekend of the 15thNovember. I didn’t realise that she was a member then, so she wasn’t included in the report. I have added you into the scoresheet now Louise, so the next time you compete (that is called a broad hint) you will get included in the report.
