DON ASHTON MEMORIAL FELL RACE

PAULA Pilling was fourth in the ladies race and 2nd F40 at the Don Ashton Memorial fell event in Tockholes.
She completed the 9.4km course with 310 metres of climb in 47mins 6secs.
Paul Duke led home the Burnden contingent in 22nd place overall with his time of 42:27, followed by George Butler in 45:26.
Tony Wall was 3rd M60 in 49:47.
Don Nichol (54:15), Mark Butler (56:27) and Louise Wall (65:44) completed the club’s representation.


AMBLESIDE ULTIMATE TRIAL

Jackie Oakes travelled to Ambleside for the Ultimate Trails 22km event, part of the Lakeland Trails series, and she completed the tough course in 3:30:40.

SAWLEY ABBEY HALF MARATHON
Louise Fox and Emma Walker ran the Sawley Abbey Half Marathon. Times to be confirmed.

STOODLEY PIKE FELL RACE
Louise and Emma also ran together at the Stoodley Pike Fell Race last week. Louise finished in a time of 36:37 with Emma crossing the line in 36:57
.


Clare McKenna, Julie Riddle and Diane Smith were also in the Lakes but they were tackling Derwentwater’s Epic Lakes Swims. Clare covered the 500m course in 10:46 while Julie, at her first open water event, followed her in with a time of 13:57.
Diane tackled the one-mile course and finished in 39:45.
