Just 8 runners turned out last weekend, a 5 – 3 split in favour of the guys, for the EA 30 Challenge; our lowest total yet.

Leading the charge for the men was Andy Dunleavy who finished 1st in his category by covering 7,510 metres. Mark Cannon ran 7,129 metres and was runner up in his MV55 class. Tony Wall was runner up to Andy D in the MV60 category with his total of exactly 7 Kms. First home for the ladies and finishing 2nd in her category running was Linda 5,890 metres. Louise Wall and Cheryl Dunleavy weighed in with 5,180 and 4,720 metres respectfully. The ladies covered 15.79 Kilometres while the men totalled up 33.57Kms. Despite a low turnout Burnden still managed to finish as the 5th placed team…………….just! The difference between the 5th and 6th team was just 12 centimetres! So every stride on your run does really counts.
